Become a model with an agency that never charges you.
Join a verified modelling agency India brands genuinely book from. Free to join, written contracts before every shoot, on-set coordinator, and payment released on schedule — not whenever the client’s finance team gets around to it.
What a modelling agency should actually give you.
We meet, photograph, and measure every model on our roster. When a brand books you, the person on the call sheet is the person in the portfolio. That should be a low bar. In this market, it is not.
₹0 to Join, Always
No registration fee, no portfolio fee, no training fee. Our revenue comes from brands. Any agency charging you is not aligned with your interests.
Written Contracts
Call time, wrap time, wardrobe, chaperone allowance, usage rights, and payment terms — agreed in writing before you arrive on set.
On-Set Coordinator
Our own staff member is present at every shoot. You escalate any concern to us, never to the client.
Payment on Schedule
We process payment and release it on the agreed date. We chase the client, so you never have to.
Free Test Shoots
No portfolio? We run periodic in-studio test shoots in Delhi NCR for promising talent, at zero cost.
Steady E-Commerce Work
Catalog work is the most consistent income in Indian modelling. We have more of it than any other booking type.
Where you might fit.

How to become a model in India without getting scammed
The hardest part of learning how to become a model in India is not the work. It is navigating an industry where a substantial share of the “agencies” make their money from aspiring models rather than from clients. This page tells you how to spot the difference, and what the actual job looks like once you are past that filter.
Adverra Studio began in 2015 as a fashion photography operation. We book models constantly, we have watched hundreds of careers begin, and we have seen exactly which ones went somewhere. Almost none of it matches what the industry mythology promises.
If money flows from you to the agency, you are the customer — not the talent. Their incentive is to sign you, not to book you.
The single rule that protects you
A legitimate modelling agency india earns a commission or a management fee from the client who hires you. It has no reason to charge you anything, and every reason to get you booked, because that is when it gets paid.
An illegitimate one charges you a registration fee, a portfolio-shoot fee, a “grooming” or training fee, or a profile-verification fee. Once it has your money, its work is done. It has no incentive to place you at all, and its business scales by signing more aspirants rather than by booking any of them.
There are exactly zero exceptions to this rule. Adverra Studio has never charged a model a rupee and never will.
What modelling work in India actually looks like
E-commerce and catalog: the real job
This is where the money and the consistency live, and almost nobody entering the industry realises it. A garment brand shooting 200 SKUs needs a model who can hold posture correctly through a hundred changes across a nine-hour day without their energy visibly dropping in the last forty frames.
It is not glamorous. It is physically demanding, endlessly repetitive, and pays reliably. There is no strict height requirement, brands increasingly cast across a genuine range of body types, and models who prove reliable get rebooked every season. If you want to earn a living from modelling in India, this is the door.
Fashion and editorial: the visible one
Campaign work, lookbooks, and runway-adjacent shoots. Higher day rates, far less frequent, considerably more competitive. Presence and movement matter more than in catalog work, because the image is selling a feeling rather than a fit.
Most successful editorial models in India fund themselves with catalog work between campaigns. Treating editorial as your entire income strategy is how talented people leave the industry within two years.
Actor, lifestyle, and real-people casting
The fastest-growing category, driven entirely by D2C brands who have discovered that advertising which looks like their customers converts better than advertising which looks like a magazine. Lines get delivered rather than poses held. It crosses over directly into UGC video production, which is where a great many of our lifestyle models now earn most of their income.
Building a portfolio without paying for one
You do not need a professional portfolio to be signed. You need four clear photographs.
- A headshot. Neutral expression, natural light, plain background, no makeup or minimal makeup.
- A three-quarter shot. Waist up, arms visible, relaxed posture.
- A full-length shot. Fitted clothing so your proportions read accurately. Not baggy.
- A profile shot. Side view, same lighting.
Shoot them beside a window, on a phone, with no editing, no filters, and no retouching. Any agency that cannot assess you from those four images cannot assess you at all. We also run periodic free in-studio test shoots in Delhi NCR for promising talent who do not yet have a portfolio.
Understand usage rights before you sign anything
This is where most modelling bookings in India go quietly wrong. A brand books you for a marketplace listing shoot. Six months later, your face is running as a paid Meta advertisement, in a campaign you were never compensated for, because the original agreement never specified media, geography, or duration.
Every Adverra contract defines those three things up front. If you are dealing with any other agency or booking directly, insist on the same. The conversation is awkward once. The alternative is discovering your likeness in a national campaign you were paid ₹5,000 for.
Safety, verification, and what you are entitled to
Every model on our roster is identity-verified and age-verified. Every booking runs through a written contract specifying call time, wrap time, wardrobe requirements, chaperone allowance, and payment terms. Our own on-set coordinator staffs every shoot, and you escalate concerns to us rather than to the client.
None of this is a marketing position. It is the minimum standard a modelling agency should operate at, and far too few in India do. If an agency will not put a coordinator on set, will not put terms in writing, or asks you to attend a “screening” alone at an unlisted address, walk away and tell someone.
Setting expectations honestly
Modelling in India is a real career for a small number of people and a supplementary income for a much larger number. Reliability compounds faster than looks. The model who confirms bookings promptly, arrives on time, and does not need managing on set will out-earn a more striking model who does not, usually within about a year.
We will tell you honestly, at application, whether we think we can book you and in which category. A no from us is not a verdict on you. It usually just means our current client mix does not match your profile, and another agency’s might.
Frequently asked questions
Do you charge models anything?
No. Not at application, not at signing, not at any tier. Free test shoots are also free.
What are the height requirements?
For e-commerce and catalog work, which is our highest-volume category, there is no strict requirement. Editorial and runway work is more restrictive, and we will be candid with you about that at application.
Do I need experience?
No. Roughly a third of our current roster had never done a paid shoot before joining. Catalog work in particular rewards professionalism far more than experience.
Can I join if I am outside Delhi NCR?
Yes. We book across Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata, and Chennai, and we run remote productions elsewhere.
How quickly will I get booked?
It depends entirely on your category and the current client mix. E-commerce models are typically shortlisted within a month. Editorial can take considerably longer, and we will not pretend otherwise.
Ready to apply? The form is above. Brands looking to book talent should see our modelling agency service page or get in touch directly.
Model FAQs.
None. No registration, portfolio, grooming, training, or verification fee. Our income comes from the brands who book you. Any agency in India that charges you should be treated with extreme suspicion.
Apply anyway. Around a third of our roster had zero paid shoots before joining. E-commerce and catalog work rewards reliability and posture awareness far more than experience, and both are teachable.
E-commerce day rates run ₹3,000–12,000. Fashion and editorial run ₹8,000–40,000 but far less often. Actor and lifestyle sits between the two and is growing fastest. A reliable catalog model working steadily can earn a genuine full-time income.
An Adverra coordinator, on every shoot, without exception. You raise any concern with us and we handle it with the client. A chaperone allowance is written into every contract.
On the date written in your contract. We process payment ourselves and chase the client, so late client payment is our problem rather than yours.
