How Snackible cut CPA by 42% and hit 3.5x ROAS with UGC ads.
A healthy snacking brand with strong product-market fit and flat Meta Ads performance. Eight creator-shot UGC variants later, the account was profitable at scale.
Background
Snackible occupies a difficult position in the Indian snacking market. The product is genuinely good, the health positioning is credible, and repeat purchase rates are strong. But the category they compete in — better-for-you snacking — sells on trust, and trust is the one thing polished advertising cannot manufacture.
When they approached Adverra Studio, their Meta Ads account was spending steadily and converting badly. The creative was not the problem in any craft sense. It was the problem in every commercial sense.
The challenge
Challenge
Snackible had product-market fit and a loyal repeat base, but their Meta Ads account had gone flat. Their existing agency creative was beautifully shot — colour-graded studio product spots with sweeping macro shots — and audiences scrolled straight past it. Cost per acquisition had climbed 60% over two quarters and their media buyer had run out of levers.
The deeper issue was structural. Every creative in the account was doing the same job — showing the product looking appetising. None of them were handling the objection that actually stops a health-curious buyer at checkout, which is a quiet suspicion that healthy snacks taste like cardboard.
Our approach
Solution
We reframed the entire creative brief around a single customer objection: healthy snacks are boring. Rather than showing the product, we cast eight creators to taste-test on camera with genuinely unrehearsed reactions. Hooks led with health-curious hesitation — "I did not expect a millet chip to taste like this" — rather than with brand messaging. Every variant shipped with three hook openings and native captions for sound-off viewing.
Casting for credibility, not reach
We deliberately cast creators with modest followings — between 15,000 and 80,000 — across food, fitness, and everyday-life niches. Their audiences trusted them precisely because they had not become brand billboards. Their reactions read as genuine because we did not script them.
Hook architecture
Each of the eight concepts opened on scepticism rather than enthusiasm. The creative logic is simple: an ad that begins by validating the viewer's doubt earns permission to spend the next twenty seconds dismantling it. An ad that begins with enthusiasm sounds like every other ad.
Testing discipline
All eight variants launched simultaneously into a broad campaign with equal budget allocation. No creative was given preferential treatment. We let hook-through rate and cost per click identify the winners over a nine-day read, then reallocated aggressively.
Results
Result
Within 30 days the UGC rotation had reduced cost per acquisition by 42% against the previous quarter's baseline, and the account was returning 3.5x on ad spend. Two of the eight variants carried the majority of the spend; the other six were cut within twelve days, which is exactly how the process is supposed to work.
The two winning creatives shared a structural trait that has since informed every food-category brief we write: both featured the creator eating the product before saying anything about it. The demonstration preceded the claim. That ordering has proven durable across subsequent food and beverage campaigns.
The takeaway
Snackible's creative was never badly made. It was badly aimed. The account did not need better production values; it needed a creative that argued with the customer's actual hesitation rather than ignoring it.
This is the single most common pattern we see across our case study library. Brands invest in production quality when the bottleneck is strategic clarity. Read how we apply the same diagnostic to beauty brands in the La Mior case study, or explore our UGC video ads service.
